Boox Evernote

A 10.3-inch E Ink tablet with a front light, the 5.8mm-slim Onyx Boox Note Air boasts 32GB of storage, plus it comes with beefed-up processors and – perhaps most importantly – an open Android 10. There is a delay of about 1 second in 3rd party apps when using the stylus (i.e. OneNote, Evernote, etc.). One potential workaround is to export a png from the native notes app into Evernote—Evernote will then do handwriting recognition on it if you have a Premium account, but that kind of lag is far too much for something with this price tag. I haven't used Evernote, but as far as I know all note apps except the native Notes app will lag because they don't use Boox own drawing API. I have this problem with OneNote. If you long-press on the app you can optimise it so that it displays at a lower quality but has less lag. It won't be as fast as the Notes app, but will be more usable. The Onyx Boox Note Air features an all new design and has a front-lit display with a color temperature system and ships with Android 10. The Note Air comes with a free case, screen protector.

ONYX BOOX Note Air is an e-book reader designed for reading large-format documents. It got an E Ink Carta screen with a diagonal of 10.3 inches, backlit Moon Light 2 and Asahi protective glass. The new Qualcomm processor has 8 cores, clocked at 1.8 GHz, which, in combination with 3 GB of RAM, allows you to quickly and comfortably work with documents in PDF and DjVu formats, and the WACOM sensor makes it possible to take notes both in a separate application and directly in the text. The model is based on the Android 10.0 operating system, which allows you to install third-party programs from the ONYX app store and other sources. And thanks to the Wi-Fi module, you can access the Internet, use a browser and connect to network libraries. The wide side field allows you to hold the device with one hand for a long time.

What is E Ink Carta?

E Ink Carta is the latest development of E Ink. This is an electronic paper display. Reading from such a screen is as comfortable as from a regular paper page. Compared to the previous series displays, it has a lighter substrate and higher contrast.
