The Reacher, a paintbrush specially designed for use on upper walls and hard-to-reach surfaces, is currently available for licensing or sale to manufacturers or marketers. The tip of the paint brush handle is fitted with screw threads to allow easy attachment to the threaded end of an extension pole. Apart from the threaded handle, the paintbrush features a conventional design. The Reacher allows ceilings, molding and other high, hard-to-reach objects to be painted easily while the user is standing on the floor or ground. The Reacher is lightweight, affording easy maneuvering of the brush and preventing the fatigue and discomfort that can result from painting for long periods. Designed to ensure thorough coverage, the brush could be offered in different sizes and with varying types of bristles. A prototype is available.
